Get started on the Wheel
Get your hands mucky for a throw down, sign up for a 2 hour introduction to throwing and learn the basics of centring, opening out & pulling up the walls of your pot…
At the end of the session you’ll likely have 1 pot you’ll want to fire & keep, maybe more. You can stop there, or you could take it to the next level…
Go more in depth
Come back for another 2 hour session a couple of days later once your pots have stiffened up a bit to learn the secondary stages of pot making, called “turning”, where you can put the finishing touches to your wares & have more time on the wheel!
It’s all about the finish
Complete the look of your pots by booking yourself in for another 2 hour session in a week or so’s time and get to grips with glazing your pots after they have been biscuit fired. Depending on how many pots you’ve made glazing probably won’t take up the full 2 hours, so you may be able to get back on the wheel and experiment with a few more throws.
Cost & Booking
Each 2 hour session costs £15 per person plus £5 firing charge for each pot you want to fire.
So for example if you did the 2 hour course and wanted to fire 1 pot it would cost £15 plus £5 firing charge.
If you did the 4 hour course and wanted to fire 3 of your pots it would cost £30 plus £15 firing charge.
If you did the 6 hour course and wanted to fire 4 pots it would cost £45 plus £20 firing charge
If you choose to do a 1 session booking your pot will still be a lovely handmade creation, just a little less refined than the 2 session pots and with a clear glaze applied as standard.
Workshops are available weekdays from 11am till 3pm and again in the evenings from 7-9pm (excluding weds evening), and from 11am-6pm on the weekends.
